Freebies are hard to come by, but one Redditor found the retro home decor of their dreams on a curbside.
Furniture left on the curb can be a real mixed bag. Sometimes the best you can find is a broken bookshelf or a cat-scratched couch, but on other occasions, you can stumble across a real treasure.
The r/Curbfind subreddit documents the best freebies that thrifty Redditors find. One user shared a picture of the quirky panther statue they discovered abandoned on the side of the road.

"Found this poking out of some tall grass by the curb here in Detroit this morning," the Redditor explained alongside the ceramic pink panther.
A bit of internet sleuthing led them to discover that purchasing the statue could have set them back over $500.
"The curb Gods smiled on me today," the user quipped.
If you're not already keeping your eyes on the curb for everything from everyday essentials to high-end goods, now's a good time to start. Even if you don't need anything for your own home, you could make a bit of extra cash by reselling your finds online.
You can repay the favor by leaving your own unwanted furniture on the curbside for others to enjoy. It's a great way to prevent good quality items from ending up in the landfill.
Otherwise, shopping in and donating to thrift stores helps reduce waste. Overconsumption is a huge problem, but not buying into fast fashion or low-quality, cheaply produced goods lessens the demand for these items.
Redditors were stunned that the OP found the quirky pink panther for free.
