Tiny houses are often associated with solo owners or couples, but one model shows the concept can stretch much further. Mobi House's Princess model fits a family-friendly layout into roughly 250 square feet without relying on lofted sleeping spaces.
What happened?
Built by European company Mobi House, the single-level Princess packs an unusual amount of space and comfort into about 247 square feet (just over 23 square meters), including two fully enclosed bedrooms. As autoevolution reported, the home features two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and the amenities that come with a modern house.
Rather than leaving sleeping areas open or elevated, the design gives adults and children separate rooms: one with a double bed and wardrobe storage, the other set up with bunk beds and a fold-down desk. That arrangement is unusual in a market where many tiny homes lean on lofts, convertible furniture, or less private sleeping setups.
Beyond the bedrooms, the home makes room for the basics of daily living without feeling overly squeezed. There's a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a wall-mounted toilet, a lounge and entertainment area, and an L-shaped kitchen with larger appliances and plenty of cabinets.
Why does it matter?
Tiny homes can seem appealing in theory but are sometimes difficult in practice, especially for families. Privacy, storage, and day-to-day comfort are often among the biggest concerns.
Features that create separation can make a small home easier to live in, whether for parents with children, remote workers, or anyone who wants sleeping space set apart from the main living area. The Princess also includes a long hallway, even though circulation space is often one of the first things reduced in compact homes.

What can I do?
Smaller homes often require fewer building materials and can be less expensive to heat, cool, and maintain than larger conventional houses (although the actual savings depend on factors such as purchase price, land, insurance, and local regulations).
That being said, closed-off sleeping areas, built-in storage, a functional kitchen, and climate systems suited for year-round living can matter more than square footage alone.
