Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Inc. is recalling select Outshine fruit bar products sold nationwide after consumer complaints that some bars may contain glass.
Because frozen treats often stay in households for months, affected boxes may still be tucked away long after they were bought, so shoppers should check what is sitting in the freezer before reaching for a quick snack.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company is recalling batches among "a limited number of select flavors of Outshine Fruit Bars due to possible foreign material contamination with glass."
The affected products are the 6-count of 2.5-ounce Outshine fruit bars in Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine, and Black Cherry flavors, along with the Outshine 24-count 2.5-ounce Variety Pack.
Thankfully, no illnesses or injuries had been reported. Consumers whose packages match the affected codes should not eat the bars.
Shoppers should check the bottom of the package for the batch code, as the recalled products have best-before dates running from May 31, 2027, through November 30, 2027. Before eating any potentially-impacted bars, consumers are advised to compare those codes with the recall list.

Dreyer's is also noting that the rest of its products beyond those five flavors and one variety pack are not being impacted by this voluntary recall.
