During heavy rain in New York City, a Brooklyn creator recorded the scene, capturing how rapidly overwhelmed drainage can turn ordinary roads into risky stretches.
What happened?
The footage, posted on TikTok by Sergio Vaysman (@antman1188), shows water spreading across a Coney Island roadway during a burst of heavy rain in New York City.
Two commenters focused on drainage and street design. One wrote, "Maybe we clean out the sewers," while another added, "Clean drainage Pl don't create issues with blocking tissues."
Others pointed to the area's geography: "I mean. Coney is on the ocean. It's like 1ft above sea level."
