In India, an 8-foot snake turned a parked scooter into a 30-minute rescue scene

In Haldwani, Uttarakhand, a parked scooter became the scene of a rescue when residents found an 8-foot snake inside it.

The discovery set off an operation that lasted nearly half an hour, attracted a crowd, brought in the Forest Department, and gained attention online.

After the snake was noticed inside the scooter, word quickly spread, and neighbors gathered around the vehicle. Though the reptile was concealed inside, no one tried to remove it, according to India Today.

A snake catcher and a Forest Department team were brought in to deal with the situation. While residents stayed back, the rescuers searched the parked scooter and pulled the animal out.

Once the snake was removed, officials relocated it to the forest.
