A red-necked wallaby joey named Yasmin was left orphaned and injured after her mother was tragically killed in a vehicle accident, sending the young marsupial to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital for intensive care.

Here's what to know

According to an Instagram post from Wildlife Warriors (@wildlifewarriorsworldwide) and Australia Zoo (@australiazoo), Yasmin was brought to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, and the orphaned joey needed extra support while recovering from "grazes, tummy troubles and sensitive skin."

The photo in the post shows Yasmin snuggling in a little bed with a blanket wrapped around her.

After specialized care and soothing medicated baths, Yasmin was well enough to leave with a dedicated wildlife carer.

As the post put it, "After plenty of specialised care, soothing medicated baths and lots of TLC, Yasmin was ready to head off with a dedicated wildlife carer." It added, "Now, she can focus on doing what joeys do best, growing, hopping and getting stronger!"
