A fox cub's second time getting trapped in the same courtyard could have ended as just another quick rescue. Instead, it led to a clever, humane solution that gave the young animal a safe escape route — and may help stop it from happening again.
Rather than simply lifting the cub out and moving on, the rescuers focused on the reason the animal kept getting stuck in the first place.

After the fox cub was found stuck in the courtyard for a second time, Wildlife Aid Foundation rescuers Louis and Sue shared on Instagram that they chose to build a ramp that would let him climb out on his own rather than rely on another manual rescue.
Meanwhile, the homeowners planned changes to make their garden less inviting for the cub to return to.
Testing showed the initial ramp was unusable because its incline was too steep for the cub to get the grip needed to climb out. To fix that, Louis and Sue modified the ramp with slats and rubber matting for better footing. With those additions, the cub managed to climb out safely on his own.
