A short wildlife clip is drawing attention over an awkward misunderstanding between a baby falcon and an eagle, with the larger bird seeming completely unprepared to play parent.
Shared to Reddit's r/NatureIsF*ckingLit community, the clip captures the smaller bird repeatedly moving toward the eagle in a way that suggests it is begging or looking for food.

The eagle does not appear to feed the juvenile and instead seems to retreat, leading one commenter to joke, "whose kid is this?"
Other commenters joined in on the fun, joking about what the eagle must be thinking. The original poster added, "Eagle be like 'Little buddy, I ain't your Mama.'" One similarly joked that the scene was like "When my unattended 4 year old neighbor would wander into our home and ask my mom for snacks."
Another quipped that "I love how eagles have that permanent confused-angry look on their face. Like an old man out of touch with the modern world."

Several raised concerns about the baby's safety and wondered why the larger bird wasn't attacking the young raptor.
One asked, "Do eagles regard other birds of prey as food? If yes, this hawk might wanna back off."
Another simply wrote, "Seeing how brutal birds can be, the chick is begging to BE food."
Watching birds in a nearby park, preserve, or even from a window can reveal just how expressive and unusual everyday wildlife can be.
But it's important to keep in mind that seemingly funny behavior is still real animal behavior and not a performance for humans. The young bird was truly hungry, and the eagle was similarly truly annoyed.
Despite the humor of the clip, as several commenters pointed out, the young bird was likely in some amount of danger, either because its nutritional needs weren't being met or because there was a much larger and more dangerous animal just inches from it, potentially annoyed at the begging.
