A lightning strike turned a Disney World monorail trip into a wait that rivaled lines for Space Mountain or any of the park's other main attractions.
Footage showed passengers were stuck for over an hour in the Florida heat.

In an Instagram post, Fox Weather (@FoxWeather) shared video from inside the stalled train.
An announcement heard in the clip directs riders: "OK, folks, again, if you need the windows pulled, by all means, please do so. But I would ask that you please keep all hands, arms, and heads inside the monorail for your safety. Thank you."
Commenters noted passengers kept their cool and were respectful.
"I really enjoyed how everyone was polite and laughing together," one person wrote. "Refreshing, in this day and age."

Fox Weather reported the weekend was filled with severe storms.
A passenger, Tanya Lee, told Storyful that the saga lasted 90 minutes and that the driver explained how to open the windows. Later, passengers got out of the monorail after power was restored and the train was towed to the next station.
"Two hours is wholly unacceptable. Shame on you, Disney," one Instagram user wrote.
Another commenter pointed to a game plan for a day at the parks.
"Always have extra water, snacks, and a pocket fan with you," they advised.
What can be done?
Commenters hoped that the passengers would get compensated in some fashion.
"They should all get free park passes and a night stay," one suggested.
Fox Weather said Storyful reported that Disney World gave out $50 gift cards as well as Lightning Lane passes to speed through lines.
