A jaw-dropping TikTok post recounts a startling moment inside a woman's car. While the Kansas driver was at the wheel, a snake emerged from a dashboard vent.
Here's what to know
Regan Jill (@redheadedjill) shared the encounter on TikTok, where the video has gotten over 1.1 million views.
"Holy snake repellent, Batman! I was VERY surprised when this little guy stuck his HEAD out of my air vent while driving today. Thankfully I was on a country road and it was safe to stop and set him loose," she wrote in the caption.
The video showed the snake slithering from one vent into another before Jill grabbed it by the tail, pulled it out, and tossed it on a gravel road.
"After that, I'm crashing that car," one commenter wrote. Another said, "Throw the whole car away."
More background
The post did not identify the snake's species or explain how the animal entered the vehicle, though users said it was a corn snake.

One commenter said the snake was a baby and that its mother must have been nearby. Others, however, pointed out that baby snakes typically do not stay with their moms.
What can be done?
If you find yourself in a similar situation, it's important to understand what type of snake you're dealing with. If you don't know for sure that it's not venomous, do not try to remove it yourself. Pull over, get out of the vehicle, and call a wildlife removal company or authorities.
