The dog was barking in the middle of the street with its leash trailing behind it, as WKOW 27 News showed. The police officer followed the dog down the street for about half a block. He followed the dog and another dog toward the open garage, finding their owner lying on the ground, unable to get up. The person had been there for over three hours.
"The officer immediately called for medical assistance, and the victim is now recovering safely at home," the outlet stated.
Bodycam footage caught the dog's heroic actions.
