Ticketmaster's legal fight over Oasis reunion tickets has been delayed, extending a case over how clearly it explained premium prices to fans.

At the center of the dispute are "platinum" tickets sold for the Gallagher brothers' August 2025 shows at Dublin's Croke Park.

Here's what to know

As The Journal reported, Dublin District Court delayed the trial while the company sought an expert report. The prosecution stemmed from an investigation by Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

Ticketline Unlimited Company, trading as Ticketmaster, faces two charges under the Consumer Protection Act 2007 over Oasis tickets sold Aug. 31, 2024. One count alleges the company marketed platinum tickets in a way that could mislead consumers about the tickets' characteristics and specifications.

A separate charge says key information about ticket prices was not given to consumers clearly, intelligibly, unambiguously, or in sufficient time, per The Journal.

The court heard that platinum tickets were organizer-priced seats for some of the most in-demand spots at Oasis' August 2025 reunion concerts.

What had been expected to be a four-day hearing in December was delayed, Judge Anthony Halpin said, as The Journal noted.

The court was told Ticketmaster wants to secure an expert report before the case goes ahead. Ronan Kennedy, appearing for the CCPC, said the parties had been in correspondence.

Halpin said the case is complex and that he wants both sides to have their witnesses prepared before the hearing starts. The defense is expected to call a dozen witnesses, according to The Journal.

What's being done?

The two charges before Dublin District Court followed a CCPC inquiry that led to disclosure of evidence.

Ticketmaster is contesting the allegations. "I anticipate that this matter will be fully contested," the defense counsel said, as The Journal reported. Brian Gageby, representing Ticketmaster, said an expert report still had to be obtained.

Halpin said he wants the witnesses marshaled and ready once proceedings begin.

The case will return for mention Nov. 9, when a new hearing date is expected to be set.
