A TikTok creator highlighted Dayforce Cares, a corporate charity program that helps cover expenses such as dental work, baby furniture, essential clothing, and car repairs.

The grants are not limited to people who work for the HR and payroll company Dayforce that is behind the charity, though applications for many U.S. counties have already filled up.

Here's what to know

Moms Orders (@momsorders) said Dayforce Cares grants are usually $200 to $4,000, with a maximum of $5,000.

@momsorders You do not have to work for Dayforce to apply. 👀 Dayforce Cares offers eligible individuals and families grants for certain basic needs—including dental and vision care, medical or mobility equipment, diapers, cribs, short-term therapy, essential clothing, and necessary car repairs. Grants typically range from $200 to $4,000, with a maximum of $5,000. Funding isn't guaranteed, documentation is required, and decisions may take up to 90 days—so this is not emergency assistance. Visit DayforceCares.com to check the current eligibility rules before applying or purchasing anything. Save this. Share it. She said applications opened Thursday and listed a range of covered expenses: dental, hearing, and vision services; medical or mobility devices; short-term counseling; diapers, cribs, and mattresses; essential clothing; and car repairs.

"You do not have to work for the company," Moms Orders added.

To apply, you must be at least 18 and a U.S. citizen and provide documentation tied to the expense for which you want assistance.

Reviews can take up to 90 days, and approved funds are sent to the vendor rather than the applicant. "This is not immediate emergency assistance," the creator clarified.

She added that the grants do not cover rent, credit card bills, mortgages, continuing prescriptions, or funeral costs.

More background

The covered expenses can all be essential to maintaining health and keeping work or caregiving responsibilities on track, yet they are often difficult to afford out of pocket.

In the comments, users said they ran into location-based restrictions.

"No longer accepting applications in my state," one wrote, while another said, "In North Carolina they said not at this time." Others ran into eligibility issues in Florida and California.

"I selected 'begin application' exactly at midnight Oct. 1 and it said they were already capped," one user noted.
