PPL Electric Utilities customers seeking help with their electric bills will have two opportunities to meet with representatives in person at events in Pennsylvania.
Here's what to know
The first session will take place in Scranton on Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to WOLF.
The Salvation Army at 500 S. Washington Ave. will host PPL representatives. Customers can ask about payment assistance and obtain applications for a separate energy assistance program there.
More background
At the Scranton event, representatives will explain Operation HELP and OnTrack, two payment assistance programs available through PPL.
They will also provide applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, known as LIHEAP.
Human services providers are among those expected at the event, as are representatives of other utilities, WOLF reported.
What can be done?
Proof of household income and identification belong on customers' checklist for a visit to The Salvation Army.
An electric account number is another item to have ready so customers can supply the information PPL requests.
Customers who cannot make either session can visit PPL's bill help website for payment plans and assistance information.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 10, The Salvation Army in Harrisburg will host the other session.
