After Apollo was found abandoned, he clearly needed love and attention. Just three months later, his owner shared before-and-after photos of his transformation, underscoring how much care can make a difference.
Here's what to know
The photos were shared to Reddit's r/RescueDogs community. In the Reddit thread, Apollo's new owner explained that they had found him abandoned. The original poster wrote, "What 3 months of love and care look like. Apollo when we found him abandoned vs. now."
In the first photo, Apollo appears scared and underweight with a dirty coat, but still has a sweet face. In the second image, though, he clearly appears more at ease and healthy.

Commenters quickly jumped into the thread to compliment his transformation and how sweet he looks. One wrote, "Oh the wide, high alert eyes in the first image and then his eyes in the second." A second added, "Wow, it's amazing what being loved and cared for can do. They're both beautiful and look so happy together," referring to Apollo's new brother shown in the second photo.
A third stated, "Thank you so much for providing a life to this abandoned baby. The world needs more people like you." Another simply wrote, "From scared to so confident. Bravo."
Several commenters wrote that while Apollo was rescued, the original also benefited. As one explained, "Congratulations on having done a wonderful job and gain[ing] a friend." Another predicted that Apollo would "bless your life for years to come."
