The 2026 GMC Hummer EV 3X is hard to miss on the road: a massive electric pickup with more than 1,000 horsepower, a Crab Walk mode, and a sprint from zero to 60 mph in under three seconds.
After one YouTube duo spent more than a week driving one around Denver, Liv and Patrick, the EV-focused creators behind The Electric Duo, came away saying it was more than just a flashy gimmick.

For a review posted on YouTube, Liv and Patrick of The Electric Duo spent time using the Hummer EV 3X like a daily vehicle, assessing how it handled in the city, during hands-free highway driving, and at a fast charger.
What surprised them most was how manageable it felt in routine use. They repeatedly called it "ridiculous," a fair label for something with a huge battery, immense power, and an equally hefty price. At the same time, they said the rear-wheel steering made a noticeable difference in cramped turns and crowded parking lots.
They also plugged in at an Electrify America station in Littleton, Colorado, where charging briefly climbed to about 267 kilowatts, though reaching 80% would still take a while because of the truck's very large battery.

That does not mean every EV needs to be this excessive.
