Portable power stations can make road trips, camping, and blackout prep much easier, but one Delta Pro owner questioned their convenience in summer heat.
The concern came up as the owner looked for a new way to carry the system after moving on from a camper van.
Their plan involved a pickup bed, but they said that with the cover, "It's like an oven in there during the summer." They worried that both heat and vibration could cut into the battery's lifespan.

After selling the van, they were considering keeping the units in the truck bed for off-grid power alongside a travel trailer. Their main hesitation was the black folding bed cover and whether it could push temperatures too high, especially since EcoFlow lists 113 degrees Fahrenheit as the maximum storage and operating temperature.
Commenters agreed that heat was the bigger risk, especially in an enclosed truck bed.
"Under moderate to high loads mine would turn off above 99 degrees while also charging," one wrote.

"High temperature will damage the batteries," one commenter with extensive road experience warned. "Also, you need to place a layer of something like microcell foam (like a couple layers of dense yoga mat) under the units to absorb some of the vibrations.
